the simple ability to get where you wanted to go with-
out the hassle of gridlock and roadrage be enough ?
Well, we all could use use both of these assets in
seeking understanding and solutions to the obstacles
facing Sarasota's future ; less hassles in every part of our daily lives, rewards for our efforts at maintaining
a viable life-force in the district and , of course, realizing a demonstrable improvement in our actual
living conditions in perpetuity.

There is no philosophy involved with resolving some of
Florida's west coast more immanent needs ;
At least 50,000 daily vehicle trips will be elimin-

Educational needs will never be met or im-
proved under the system and support as we

The human, fine, lively ,industrial, etc., arts
will disappear as the aging affluent popu-
lation displaces the new life-blood and ex-
citement of our youger generations.

You say this is all just a matter of Philosophy....and
for a politician politicing or a bureaucrat crating or
a public official officiating it could very well be that all
I speak of never goes beyond years of philosophizing.
But for those who live the inevitability of facing a long
term decline in a sustainable quality of life throughout
the entire region..THESE ISSUES REQUIRE IMMEDI-
ATE RESOLUTION.
Like it or not , every child who grows up in our region
will ultimately reflect the adult attitudes and actions
which have effected their young lives. As I see it we,as
stewards of our childrens future, have the primary
resposibility of taking control of all the land use policy
in the state NOW before it becomes impossible to do
so.
