Take control of the land-use policy ! That is what
we already do at the polls....and then pay dearly
for the resultant implimentations....isn't it ? Wel
yes to a certain degree, but here I am talking abou
being able to tell your kids " I personally went to
the voting booth and told my emplyees (elected) this is what I want for my greatgrandchild. READ THIS:
http://www.floridahometowndemocracy.com and linkbe sure to read some of the press releases .
We will either hear from you again to get some
petitions from me here in Sarasota at 726-1745 or
not. wsrq.com is new on the block but we know
you know what is in your heart better than anyone..
and that demands the best for you and your child-
ren's future.
Knowing you are not alone in your thoughts and heart of hearts is no less than the single most powerful reassertion of your omnipotence.

Knowing how to use that inate power ....where it
can best be put to good use ... when it will prove to
be most productive is described poignantly by
Larry Evans at the Sarasota Herald Tribune linkI too can remember times my son and I would
camp out under bald eagle's nests in order to keep
the developers at bay. ! Maybe we can work hard enough to provide your children's children the
mere sight of a great bird nesting nearby their
neighborhood.

WE DO HAVE A PLAN "B" ALSO. Just as our East
Coast Florida friends suffer the loss of vital river
access (Halifax) which we will surely loose in its
entirety to our bay by private development they also
have a politician going after the money ,as they say
to get some reality back into the transportation
gridlock assured for our future generations. Pamela Hasterok/Daytona News Journal linkputs out her best UNDERSTANDING of the need
for alternatives to more and more completely
unusable roadways throughout Florida.
John Mica , the local congressman is going after
federal funding to give impetus to a resurrection
of light , fast rail in the I4 corridor and beyond. Maybe a Congressperson locally will see a Florida constitutional ammendment as impetus.
Sarasota-Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organ
ization leaders are telling us more roads will not
eliminate the forseeable gridlock promised for the
cosmopolitan Sarasota area !
Dale White at the Herald TRibune covered this news story recently 3/05 and it made me wonder
why our LEADERS just now realized we had to
deal with a long existing problem
linkendemic to north of the Manatee thru south of
the Peace River . Fourty miles of stressed infra-
structure noone had a cure for until now !
Bull ! This is just another way for someone
connected to our checkbooks to give more of our
life force away for unwise, useless expansion in
futile efforts to preserve a way of life that cannot be sustained by their methods and actions.
What are some of your solutions to gridlock ?

How do I put enough of these issues into context, workout some basic understanding of how these
threats to my peaceful coexistence with my neighbor and my god and his creations affect me,
and take effective action in order to at least maint-
tain some resemblance of "place" in the scheme of things I respect and cherish ? Floridians For A
Sustainable Population has the answers : linkClick Mission and then Declaration. this is not news! It is simply information the
media and the bureaucrats, polititions , speculators, bankers, real estate developers, insurance companies, etc. have refused to devulge
in their PURSUIT OF PROFIT ! Steve Fossett just
made a dream come true....you can too .

I have to ask myself some very sobering questions
when I plan on making a very speculative financial
investment. First among them is if I am ready
and able and willing to forfeit probably the most
valuable asset I have in hopes of bettering my and
my children's childrens life 50 years up the road.
W. Proffitt's article in the H.Tribune does the same
soul searching with quite meaningful revelations : linkAll I know about the area on which unending
population impact, business interest speculative investment and decreasing open space for public
access to our bay is going to influence is that it is just simply a nice place to take my grandkids and
let them absorb part of life and living in Sarasota.
Easy to park, great views, fish on the line, boats
to dream of, animals and people to converse .
